Bad news, folks. US Games, Inc., one of the two major publishers of tarot card decks, is increasing the price of their card decks. As of April 1, 2016, the manufacturer's standard retail price (MSRP) of tarot cards is increasing 9.75%, from $20.00 to $21.95. That means our wholesale cost is going up by the same percentage.
Why the price increase? US Games cites the rising costs of production and overhead, which is perfectly understandable - even if we wish it weren't so.
A Silver Lining
The good news is that we are not raising prices until we run out of our current stock of tarot card decks. We knew this was coming, so we ordered what we could before the price increase. Also, we often offer our newest tarot decks at a reduced rate for a limited time anyway.
So if you've had your eye on a particular deck, get it now before the price goes up!
