Superb illustrations by Sergio Tisselli bring the adventuresome Vikings to life in this extraordinary new deck. A helpful introduction to Viking culture and mythology appears at the beginning of the booklet written by Manfredi Toraldo.

Each of the 22 majors are given traditional tarot titles, but the illustrations depict Norse gods and goddesses. The minor are also illustrated with great care and detail. Suits are chalices (Vanir), swords (men), wands (giants), and pentacles (dwarves & elves). Court cards are Knave, Knight, Queen, King. The cards have titles in six languages.

The little white booklet is 63 pages with 14 of them in English and the other pages in four additional languages: Italiano, Espanol, Francais, and Deutsch. Majors are each defined in one or more paragraphs. Minors have 3 or 4 word definitions. The mythic character or tale depicted on the card is mentioned in the booklet for each of the 78 cards. The backside illustration is of Thor, hammer in hand, in his Chariot. It is done in tones of olive and sage green (see picture below).
